HTTP Status Code & Protocol Checker
Inspect your server's HTTP response status (200 OK, 301, 404, 500), determine protocol support (HTTP/2, HTTP/3), and troubleshoot connection errors.
Understanding HTTP Status Codes for Webmasters & SEOs
HTTP status codes are standardized 3-digit responses issued by a server in response to a client's request. They tell browsers, search engine crawlers, and API clients whether a request was successful, redirected, or encountered an error.
Status Code Categories
2xx Success: Indicates the request was received, understood, and accepted (e.g. 200 OK).
3xx Redirection: Further action must be taken to complete the request (e.g. 301 Moved Permanently, 302 Found).
4xx Client Errors: The request contains bad syntax or cannot be fulfilled (e.g. 403 Forbidden, 404 Not Found).
5xx Server Errors: The server failed to fulfill an apparently valid request (e.g. 500 Internal Server Error, 503 Service Unavailable).
